Globazyme® is a very gentle and effective detergent based on a combination of enzymes and surfactants with very good material compatibility for instrument cleaning prior to disinfection. Ideal for reprocessing of thermostable and thermolabile instruments (surgical instruments, rigid endoscopes, anesthetic and respiratory utensils and other medical devices). Globazyme® is also suitable for automated reprocessing of flexible endoscopes in washer-disinfectors cleaning cycle. Disinfection is required afterwards.
Globazyme® removes efficiently many different types of organic dirt (blood, tissue, mucous, stool, proteins, fats on medical instruments etc). Product has a wide material compatibility.

USAGE
Working solution dosage depends mainly on the hardness of the water and type of soiling. Globazyme® is compatible with hard water, but in order to achieve better cleaning results it is recommended to use demineralized (DI) or reversed osmosis (RO) water. In this case 5 ml/l is the correct dosage. For untreated hard water 10 ml/l should be used. For better results it is recommended to add Globazyme® to lukewarm water (approx. 35°C). The cleaning cycle should last minimum 5 minutes. Particularly good cleaning results are achieved by using cleaning cycle with two temperatures (i.e. 3 min at 45°C and 3 min at 55°C for endoscopes). Neutralisation is not required.
Manual cleaning or with an ultrasonic bath
Pre-rinse instruments with cold tap water. Make a 0,5% working solution of clean water and concentrate – add 5 ml/l into a lukewarm water (approx. 35°C). Dissemble the instruments and submerge them into a lid-equipped tub filled with the working solution. Make sure all the instruments are covered with the solution. Once the exposure time (5 minutes) has passed, wash or rinse the instruments under running water (at least tap water quality) or with sterile water, as needed. Disinfection with a suitable disinfectant should follow.
Typical WD process (for thermostable instruments)
- Pre-rinse: with cold tap water, 3 min
- Cleaning: with DI-/RO-water
Add Globazyme® at 35°C
Cleaning at 45°C for 3 min and then at 60°C for another 3 min without changing washing solution (two step cleaning)*
- Intermediate rinse I: with warm tap water (40-45°C), 1 min
- Intermediate rinse II: with cold tap water, 1 min
- Thermal disinfection: with DI-/RO-water
- Drying: 10-25 min
Typical EWD process (for endoscopes)
- Pre-rinse: with cold tap water, 2 min
- Cleaning: with DI-/RO-water
Add Globazyme® at 35°C
Cleaning at 45°C for 3 min and subsequent cleaning at 55°C for another 3 min without changing washing solution (two step cleaning)*
- Intermediate rinse I: with warm tap water (40-45°C), 1 min
- Chemo-thermal disinfection: with tap water, add suitable disinfectant
- Intermediate rinse II: with DI-/RO-water, germ-free, 1 min
- Final rinse: with DI-/RO-water, germ-free, 1,5 min
- Drying: 10-25 min
* If necessary, longer cleaning times result in further improvement of cleaning properties

STORAGE
See the best before date on the package. Store at temperatures 5-25°C, keep away from direct sunlight, avoid freezing to assure the quality of the product.
UTILIZATION
The working solution is ecologically safe, all active ingredients are biodegradable in flush water. Plastic packaging materials are recyclable. For collection, the plastic packaging is suitable when rinsed, the bottle and cap separated. The packaging box is sorted for cardboard collection. The compatibility of the packaging and the product is quality assured.
